August 7, 2009 - Hairconcepts.com has completed testing and is LIVE! We are proud to announce that we have subscribers taking their free seven day trial starting today. We have launched with 13 complete courses that feature audio, video, text and of course the patented 3d mannequin head for each step of each technique. There are 8 coloring techniques and 5 haircuts already in the course library. Many more courses are already completed and waiting to be rolled out next month. We also have 3 webinars, 2 podcasts and new video blogs are being released every few days.
July 3, 2009 - Hairconcepts.com announces that testing has commenced on the site. A core group of testers from around the world will begin testing the offerings on hairconcepts.com beginning today. This eclectic group is made up of hairdressers, business leaders, technical advisers, marketers and friends and family of the hairconcepts.com principals.
June 26, 2009 - Hairconcepts.com announces the initial offering in Webinars, Podcasts and Video Blogs are finished and ready for launch. Initially Hairconcepts will be offering 2 complete webinars that are options of the course offerings, 4 podcasts on a variety of subjects and the many video blogs that Teri creates when she is on the road. Hairconcepts.com has a great deal of content ready to release over the coming weeks and months ensuring that the entire site's offerings are consistently being enhanced.
June 12, 2009 - Hairconcepts.com announces the initial offering in courses. There will be 13 courses upon launch all emanating from Teri Dougherty's wildly successful collections of techniques. From the Art Instrumental Collection comes Keys and Maestro Coloring Techniques and the Staccato Hair Cut in short medium and long lengths. From the Fleur de lis Coloure Artiste collection comes two versions of the Tulipa hair coloring technique, one in subtle brunettes and one in striking reds. The Calle Lilly coloring technique and the Fleur de Lis Haircut for Short Hair (the medium and long versions of the Fleur de Lis Haircut will be coming in the weeks following launch). From the Coloure Gourmet Collection comes The Escargot, Primavera and Tiramisu Coloring Techniques, along with the Ala Carte Haircut for Short Hair, (the medium and long versions of the Ala Carte Haircut will be coming in the weeks following launch).
May 29, 2009 - Hairconcepts.com announces that the courseware will be using Adobe® licensed Flash® and Shockwave® to stream the four components of each course, audio, video, text and the 3 dimensional sprite with the patented mannequin head. Hairconcepts.com engineers are Adobe® beta testers and developers. All design, video capture, video editing, motion graphics, audio editing and course preparation are all done exclusively with Adobe's suite of products. Hairconcepts.com is working with the software giant's development protocols to create a revolutionary adult education experience. Further, Hairconcepts.com is licensed to distribute Adobe® Flash® and Shockwave® players to our users.
May 15, 2009 - Teri Dougherty, Geoff Hayman and Joel Heppting create the technical and design framework for hairconcepts.com. Drawing on the terabytes of content amassed over the last five years, the team is ready to begin assembling revolutionary courseware, that shall stream directly to hairconcepts.com subscribers over the Internet. Expected launch date in early August 2009.
May 12, 2009 - United States Patent and Trademark Office issues Patent Number 7,532,223 to Teri Dougherty for Apparatus and Method for Teaching Artwork and Cosmetic Adjustment on the Human Form Using 4D Rendering. Teri Dougherty and her team have been working toward the allowance of the above patent since 2004. In Paris France during November of 2004 Teri's 4D teaching method made its worldwide debut. Since that time numerous CD ROM titles have been produced based on the teaching method but with the allowance of the patent, Teri Dougherty has announced the formation of hairconcepts.com. For the first time in history there will be a complete, multifaceted, user defined educational system specifically for professional hairdressers.
